Frequently asked questions
How ordering, pricing, payment, turnaround and delivery work. If your question is not here, ask us and we will answer directly.
Working with us
Who am I actually dealing with?
A small team. Your enquiry, your work and any complaint are handled by the same few people, so you are not passed between departments. Our registered business details are set out at the top of every policy page.
How does the process work?
You tell us what you need, we confirm the scope, and for custom work we send a written quotation before anything starts. You then get the draft or first version, you send your notes, and we deliver the finished work.
Can I order more than one thing at a time?
Yes. Some clients order a single piece of work, others order several together. If you send a batch, we will give you one timeline covering all of it.
Is the work checked by a person?
Yes. Nothing goes out on automated output alone. Someone reads and reworks every piece for accuracy, clarity and tone before it reaches you.
Can you match our tone?
Yes. Share a few pages you already have and we will follow how you sound, whether that is plain and friendly or more formal.
How many revisions do I get?
The revisions included are set out on the service page or in your quotation. In practice most jobs are finished after one round of notes, because we agree the brief up front.
Do we own the work once it is delivered?
Once you have paid in full, the deliverables we made for you are yours to use. Our own methods and templates, and anything you supplied to us, stay with whoever owned them already. Section 10 of our Terms and Conditions sets this out.
Do you need our login details?
Only where the work genuinely requires access, and you can usually grant manager or delegated access instead of sharing a password. Please share only credentials you are entitled to share, and tell us if any access needs to be changed or revoked.
What if my requirements change partway through?
That is normal. If the new request goes beyond the agreed scope, we confirm the change in writing first, including any effect on the price and the timeline. Nothing changes without you seeing it first.
Pricing and payment
Are there any hidden fees?
No. We do not add a charge that was not shown at checkout or set out in a quotation you accepted. Advertising spend, hosting, domains, licensed assets and third-party API charges are not included in our fees, and section 8 of our Terms lists them.
What currencies can I pay in?
US Dollars, Euros, British Pounds, Canadian Dollars, Australian Dollars and Singapore Dollars. Pick your currency from the menu at the top of the site, and that is the currency you are charged in.
Is any tax added to my order?
No. We are established in Hong Kong SAR, which does not levy VAT or GST on the services we supply, so no such tax is added at checkout or on your invoice. If tax is due where you are based, that is yours to declare and pay.
How can I pay?
By bank transfer, or by credit card using a secure payment link we email you for your order. A discount applies to orders paid by bank transfer, and you see it at checkout before you pay. Our Payment Policy has the current figure.
Can I pay in instalments?
For larger or custom engagements, yes. We can agree an advance with the balance due later, or payments linked to agreed stages. Any arrangement like that is written into your quotation before you accept it.
Do you do custom quotes?
Yes. If your needs do not fit a listed service, tell us what you are after and we will send a written quotation setting out the scope, what is included, what is not, and the price.
Can I cancel a monthly service?
Yes. Tell us before your next billing cycle and you will not be billed again. Amounts already paid for the current cycle are not refundable once that cycle has started.
Delivery and results
How does the finished work reach me?
By email, or another electronic channel we agree with you, such as a shared file link. Everything is delivered digitally. There is no physical shipping, and we do not need a postal address from you.
How long does the work take?
Each service page gives its own turnaround, and it starts once your order is confirmed, payment or the agreed advance is received, and we have what we need from you. Turnaround times are estimates, not fixed dates.
What can cause a delay?
Usually missing information at the brief stage, slow approvals, or a change of scope partway through. Occasionally something outside our control, such as a third-party platform outage. If we are running late, we tell you as soon as we know.
Do you guarantee rankings or traffic?
No. Search results depend on many factors outside our control, including search-engine algorithms, your market and your competitors. We commit to the work described in your order or quotation, done properly, not to a specific ranking, traffic or revenue outcome.
Are your methods safe?
Yes. We apply recognised SEO and content practices and we do not use automated schemes or anything search engines warn against.
What if a deliverable never arrives, or I cannot open it?
Email us and we will sort it out. Where a transmission failure is confirmed, we re-send the original deliverable at no extra charge.
Getting started
How do I start a project?
Get in touch and tell us what you need. We confirm the scope, and for custom work send a quotation before anything begins. Once you approve it and payment or the agreed advance is received, we start.
When does my project officially begin?
Once the order or quotation is approved, funds have cleared, and you have sent what we need to start. Planning, research or technical setup on your order counts as work having begun.
What do you need from me?
It depends on the service. Typically your brief, any brand or style guidelines, approvals on drafts, and access details where the work needs them. The service page lists what to send.
What if I am not sure what I need yet?
Tell us the outcome you are after and we will help you work out the right service and scope. There is no cost and no obligation to go ahead.
Refunds, complaints and policies
Can I pay with a personal card, or have someone else pay for me?
Yes. Freelancers, sole proprietors, founders and business owners often pay with a personal card, and a colleague or accountant settling the invoice is just as common. The name on the payment instrument does not have to match the business the work is for.
Do you store my card details?
No. Card payments are completed on the secure page of our payment provider. We never see or store your full card details.
Can I cancel and get a refund?
Cancel before we start work and you get a full refund. After work has begun, your refund is the amount you paid less the percentage of the agreed deliverables already completed, and we send you a written breakdown. We never deduct payment processing fees from a refund. Our Refund and Cancellation Policy has the full rules.
What if I have a complaint?
Email us and tell us what went wrong. We aim to acknowledge it within one business day and give you a substantive response within 10 business days. Complaints sent through the contact form get a reference number you can quote when you follow up.
Which policies apply to my order?
Our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Payment Policy, Refund and Cancellation Policy, Service Delivery Policy and Grievance and Complaint Resolution Policy. They are linked in the footer and cross-linked from each other.
Which law governs the agreement?
The laws of Hong Kong SAR, and disputes go to the courts of Hong Kong SAR. Before that, both sides make a genuine effort to settle the matter in writing.
